Melk & Suiker

After a career in the private sector, An and Luc decided to follow their hearts and founded Melk & Suiker. Driven by a love for craftsmanship and flavour, they create homemade treats that can be enjoyed in their cosy shop or at home. What makes Melk & Suiker truly special is the continuation of the tradition of the authentic Maaseik knapkoek – a unique recipe passed down through four generations. In addition, they prepare artisanal cookies and ice cream, always using top-quality ingredients. In the warm and welcoming coffee bar, visitors can enjoy a delicious cup of house-roasted coffee, prepared in different ways. Each coffee has its own character and offers a pleasant and distinctive taste experience. An and Luc are trained coffeeologists and are happy to share their knowledge and passion for coffee with their customers. When possible, the coffee beans are roasted on-site during opening hours in a shop roaster, allowing visitors to experience the artisanal roasting process up close. Those looking for a complete experience can also enjoy breakfast or a picnic combined with a Vespa and/or cycling tour. Various arrangements are available!
