Mykene
In the traffic-free Muntstraat lies the charming restaurant Mykene. The old patrician house in which it is located was restored with great respect for its history. The result is a beautiful and spacious restaurant with two separate dining rooms and a pleasant terrace. Mykene offers pure Belgian cuisine and an exceptional selection of Belgian beers, which guests can taste on site and which are also incorporated into certain dishes. For more than twenty years, chef Stijn Gille has been at the helm of the kitchen. He works mainly with local, fresh and seasonal ingredients, allowing the menu to follow the rhythm of the seasons: asparagus dishes from March, mussel preparations from July, and game in autumn. There is also a strong focus on vegetarian, vegan and keto dishes, a selection that is quite unique in Leuven. For larger groups, Mykene offers attractive set menus upon request.
